35-year-old man dies after being hit by truck in Aurora

A semitruck struck and killed a 35-year-old man Monday night in Aurora.

The semi was traveling northbound on Lake Street when the pedestrian apparently fell off the sidewalk and into the path of the semi in the 800 block of North Lake Street, Aurora officials said.

Alcohol may have been involved on the part of the pedestrian, officials said. Lake Street remained closed for some time while police investigated.
